My Chevelle Project
I bought this Chevelle about a year ago, and now
have started the dissasembly. We are going to do a
complete frame off restoration. We were very happy
to find the "Build Sheet" which gives us all th
information when th car was manufactured.
This Kansas City Built car came factory with 396
and 4 speed. The original color was classic white,
but we are going to go back with Phantom Blue or
Viper Red. Black my choice for interior color.
This old Chevelle out of Arkansas was in great
shape to be 40 years old. rear springs look brand
new with GM OEM tags, the body bushings and bolts
were still like new with almost 0% rust which is
highly unusual. Keep checking back from time to
time and we will list our progress. As in any
restoration project 'Patience is Imperative"
