Glorify God!
Mathiston Church Elects its First Woman for Church & Pastor's Council.
The 2010 General Assembly in Orlando, FL. Has just recently removed the word male from the requirements of the church and
pastor's council, this move allows women to serve in this position. This passed by a very slim margin in the General Council
before being ratified by the General Assembly.
Mathiston Church of God had its church election and the first of the three positions elected Tonya Avent to serve on the council.
This Election is an historical event in the Church of God and at the Mathiston Church.
Congratulations Tonya!

all ministries pertaining to the youth.
The Goal of the board is the growth , spiritual development, training and education of the youth in this field.
We are very thankful for the ministries to youth and ask that you pray for it's success.

We give God all the Glory and the Praise!
When we had 115 in the sanctuary, we had a full house.

New Cross in the Sanctuary
When members, attendants and visitor enter into the sanctuary of the Mathiston Church they see the
symbol of Christianity, "The Cross".
The Mural that occupied the sanctuary for many years has been relocated on the church property.
When you come in to the Mathiston Church it is easy to see that our focus is on the ministry of Jesus
Christ, We worship in a contemporary sanctuary thanks to the generous contributions of the faithful
members and attendants of the church.
These steps forward are not the work or idea of one, but rather a unified effort to move into a closer
relationship with the founder of the church Jesus Christ.
To God, and God alone be all the glory for the definite positive change that we are experiencing at
